a. This journal is using American Psychological Association (APA) Referencing System. APA is an ‘author/date’ and ‘in-text’ system. Therefore in your citation which is in-text citation, consist of the author(s) surname, year of publication and all of them written inside round brackets.

Example : (Morgenthau, 1948) and (Sagan & Waltz, 1981)

b. However, you can use APA system in the way of paraphrasing. Citation in paraphrasing requires only year of publication in round brackets and the name of author outside of the round brackets.

Example :

c. Although APA System doesn’t require page number when you cite and paraphrase other’s work, it is strongly suggested that you include page number in your citation especially when you are dealing with complex or long documents.

Example :

Please note that the letter “p” above is a contraction of “page”. Use “pp” if the page that you are dealing with is more than one page.

d. Secondary Sources: Basically APA System discourages the use secondary source, except the original or main source is unavailable. Secondary source is information you find in one source but the information in it is from another source and you are unable to locate and find the original source. However if you want to cite a secondary source, cite the source that read, but include the name of author which the source you unable to find.

Example :
